Inspired by the snow storm here in Colorado, I thought it would be a great idea to post a blog covering Winter Weddings. Of course it'd be fantastic to get hitched when you're not freezing your nose off, but there's a very classic and chic way of hosting the perfect Winter Wonderland Wedding.
You don't have to go all out with the fake snow and stuff, but designing your venue with winter inspirations can make your guests feel like they are entering a feel good place (like you feel around the holidays).
Here are some tips and ideas for your winter event:
1. Not all winter weddings have to be WHITE. Consider adding colors like blue, silver, some brown colors to imitate trees.
2. Snowflakes can be used in moderation, but consider adding branches to your table-tops in vases to add a nature look.
3. We all love sparkles and shimmer. Consider adding rhinestones, sparkles, and even salt (go figure) to little trinkets around the venue.
For example... take glass votive holders, cover in modge podge and then dip into salt.
4. Add lighting to your space. Whether strings of lights that hang from the ceiling or globe lanterns (white) that hang from above, this adds a great dimensional effect.
These are just a few tips- see pictures below for great ideas:
